The other day I had coffee with a friend of mine who I haven’t had a chance to see that much since the end of my last contract. She and I met at a coffee shop at 9am and finally called it quits almost five hours later. Conversation flowed so easily from one topic to the next as we celebrated our life victories and empathized with our individual challenges. And after all that time I had more energy than I had when I started. I think that’s the measure of a good relationship, do you walk away from an encounter with someone drained or filled with energy.
